Brunei Shell Petroleum Co Sdn Bhd and all other Brunei Shell companies have zero tolerance for business integrity violations of the law or our BSJV Code of Conduct. Business Integrity is a fundamental principle and priority for our companies, and we expect of all staff, managers, directors, business partners and contractors to comply with the law and our BSJV Code of Conduct.
At Brunei Shell companies, we share a set of core values – honesty, integrity, respect and excellence – which underpin all the work we do. The BSJV Code of Conduct sets the standards with which everyone at Brunei Shell companies is expected to comply in order to uphold these core values and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Since 2017, the Brunei Shell companies have been founding members, along with the other major operating companies in the oil and gas industry in Brunei, of the Brunei Energy Industry Integrity Pact (BEIIP). Pact members pledge their commitment to conduct their operations and business activities in a manner that upholds the highest standards of integrity principles and ethical standards. As at October 2019, the BEIIP consists of 64 members operating in Brunei.
Brunei Shell Petroleum Company was the first company in Brunei accredited with internationally recognised ISO37001:2016 certification for our Anti-Bribery Management System. We are proud of this international recognition of our commitment to zero-tolerance for bribery or corruption.
Our BSJV Code of Conduct helps everyone at Brunei Shell companies act in line with these values and comply with relevant laws and regulations. It is of paramount importance for us that our business and commercial relations are conducted in accordance with the law and the highest ethical standards. Any company that chooses not to comply with our BSJV Code of Conduct chooses not to do business with Brunei Shell companies.
If you have any suspicion of a possible business integrity violation concerning the Brunei Shell companies, their staff or their contractors, then we want to know. Suspicions can be reported through the Shell Global Helpline, which has been set up to facilitate anyone to confidentially and anonymously report any suspected business integrity violations. We investigate all suspicions reported in good faith and take action against individuals and companies who are found to have violated the BSJV Code of Conduct.
