Since 1972, Brunei Shell Joint Venture (BJSV) Scholarship scheme is considered one of the prestigious scheme which has awarded education sponsorship to more than 800 deserving students with high academic caliber. BSJV continues to be committed in nurturing the right talents who will ultimately contributed to the growth of the company and nation.

In support of BSP People Strategy on Bruneinisation, the scheme serves a vehicle to search for highly talented young Bruneians with relevant qualification, right caliber and promising potential.

UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

Brunei Shell Joint Venture (BSJV) Scholarship is a scheme for post:

‘A’ level
International Baccalaureate Diploma
Advanced Diploma

Awarded to highly selected students to pursue Degree studies in top universities locally and overseas.

  • The scheme covers full tuition fees, living expenses, transportation, clothing and books.
    Graduates of this scheme will be bonded to serve the Company for 5 years.
  • Successful in Scholarship Assessment Centre.
  • Be prepared to accept the course recommended by BSJV.
  • Achieved satisfactory performance during work experience attachment (up to 10 weeks).
  • Secured unconditional offer from accredited University acceptable to BSJV.
  • Passed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with 6.5 overall band (if required by the University/Institution).
  • Passed Medical exam conducted by Panaga Health Centre.
  • Passed the Government Security Vetting.
  • Be prepared to work for the Company (if required) and bonded for a period of 5 years from the commencement of employment.

Sciences: Geology, Geophysics, Physics

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

  • Citizen of Negara Brunei Darussalam.
  • For post ‘A’ Level: Minimum of 3 ‘A’ Level subjects with at least grades ‘BBB’ in Mathematics and two other science related subjects AND minimum 5 ‘O’ Level subjects in Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics and two other relevant subjects.
  • For International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum grade of 35 points in International Baccalaureate (IB) in Mathematics and other relevant subjects and other relevant subjects AND minimum 5 ‘O’ Level subjects in Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics and two other relevant subjects.
  • For Advance Diploma (AD): Minimum GPA of 3.0 in relevant course AND minimum 5 ‘O’ Level subjects in Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics and two other relevant subjects.

APPLICANT PROCESS

Initial Stage 1: Application

Apply application online through this link online. Prior to applying, please read the eligibility criteria to ensure you are eligible to apply by meeting minimum grades requirement.

Stage 1: Behavioral Assessment

Those who meet the eligibility criteria will have to undergo written Behavioral Assessment. Upon passing this, you will proceed to stage 2.

Stage 2: Panel Assessment

There will be 2 part to this assessment

  • Case Study
  • Competency Based Interview

Assessment will be conducted by BSJV certified assessors.
